Did you understand that property staging is all about “lifestyle merchandising”? Sure, when you are selling your household, you might be actually merchandising a lifestyle to prospective potential buyers.
Recently I graduated from an innovative staging course offered by Matthew Finlason, host of HGTV’s “The Stagers”. It was an intensive, two-day course attended by only a handful of New york City region property stagers.
They are the ideas that had been taught throughout the program:
• Casting a “wide net” with staging so that you can attract the broad array of buyers is a factor on the past.
• Crafting a “perfect lure” to appeal to the right purchaser with staging represents a paradigm shift.
• Though it is very good to neutralize a property of its occupant’s personality, do not sterilize it.
• House staging is now referred to as Target Staging. Target staging entails learning about who the particular purchaser or customers could be, and creating a style plan to appeal to that purchaser or buyers.
